Pretty chilly this morning. Probably the first time this year I have seriously thought that I better get the fire going. Beautiful light both last night and this morning. Ocean wise we are due for a change of fortune. Been a bit bleak for a week or two. Moving forward looks way better.
The attached images are from last winter and give a small glimpse into times ahead. The dawn cloud bank shot I have used here a few times before, I love it because it represents to me what I absolutely love to do. It was taken at dawn before the sun was anywhere near the horizon. I was walking along the beach to the break I was going to swim and shoot. The cloud bank picked up the glowing light and the hovering mist over the shore break just completed the scene.
The little right hand barrel just peeled perfectly past me and onwards. So much fun.
Love Autumn and winter. Great time to be alive.
Gallery wise huge thanks for all the good vibes from the visitors. Lots of prints going out the door so very encouraging.
Come this week we go into winter mode so there are just going to be times when we won’t be here. This winter, to me, maintaining the credibility of the photography is more important than trying to achieve any sort of sales targets. What this means is that for the next four/five months we are going to shoot really hard. When the time comes to go, go we will. When I am in town I will open the gallery for sure. So could I suggest keep checking the facebook, twitter and blog for updates of where we are at.
Come October(ish) we will be back on deck and going hard.
You know what, this winter looks pretty fab but really the whole year is looking pretty spectacular.
Speak soon.
